My friend has ordered his own war hammer. It is the culmination of a dream. He is getting the "deluxe" version in flame charred, leather studs, and 13 lbs of glory. He was told it would arrive in 3 to 4 weeks. When it comes in, we'll give it a review.
My friend lives in a Buddhist Temple in Boston and they do some training exercises with bokken. They probably have a direct Asian supplier, though. I think the leather breast plate is sexy.
Living in a Buddhist Temple isn't all it's cracked-up to be. They chant at all hours of the night. The robes are tough to keep wrapped tight. Orange (OK, saffron) was never my color.
