Tan Like the Desert Sky Update

Word has come out that there may yet be life in the film version of Michael Zick's novel Tan Like the Desert Sky. Unfortunately, Benjamin Bratt has confirmed that he has bowed out of the starring role as Victor Castillo.

Occam's Broadsword will stay on this story to bring you the latest in news on this eagerly anticipated film.

Can I have a cameo in the ubiquitous gay pride parade in the first half of the movie?

Oh, you've read the book. How wonderful

Then you know the parade is a symbol of the universal feeling of alienation that we all feel at some point in our lives. The paradox being that even in our loneliness and longing, we are connected to all other human beings.

Jrf, your insight into this inspiring novel is overwhelming. Join us in the spring when we discuss it in my book club.♥

Ooooo... Hearts from Oprah.

Sorry, deary. I'm not coming out of hiding for that one. I might feel an overwhelming urge to jump up and down on your couch, or recite poetry like your mentor Maya Angelou.

I can continue to pick people apart like your friend Dr. Phil here on my own blogsite.

But I'm glad you're going to bring TLDS to a wider audience. Maybe it will come back into print!

jrf,

Your desire to hide in the shadows like common vermin is a sign that you have inadequacies that you are trying to hide.

Call my secretary and schedule an appointment.

jrf,

I will have you on my show in disguise. But first, you have to do something nasty with someone inapropriate.

If they let me have my show back, I would love to have you on!

I believe that "Tan like the Desert Sky" is a veiled attempt to justify illegal immigration. Why don't you see if you can pass the test of the "No Spin Zone"

I had no idea I was so popular with the talk show pundits.

Yes, I do have something to hide. And I will continue to lurk in the shadows.

So what?
