I'm a pretty big Harry Potter fan, but you won't find me at the bookstore waiting in the enormous lines. I prefer to wait til the excitement settles and the dust from the mobs clears. Novelty isn't really a huge priority in this case. JRF, you really should just give in and read the first book. I'm not really a trendy person either, so I started reading the series when I was pregnant with my twins only a year or so ago. The book transported me back to my childhood when I believed in the possibility of magic.
