Greetings again, true believers!

I've been remiss in my posting lately. While this is often considered the kiss of death for bloggers, I see it as a sign that I am out there living experiences, training hard, and learning new things to share with you all rather than typing away my time in front of a cathode ray tube.

Here's the latest in Japanese knife fighting videos on YouTube.

You should spend your time in front of an LCD screen. Welcome to 2007.

When will we see you on "Youtube", JRF? You could use the blue dot from the Kennedy rape trial!

Teacher- Greatings from the lowest of the unwashed. I apologize for my absence. I have no excuse save for I have been busy and learning.

Since my last communication I have moved around a bit. But rest assured that in my travels, I have taken every oportunity to train.

I tried my hand at custodial engineering for a time just to heal my heart over lost love AND because I could find nothing else. I found my way to Seattle on that journey and was amazed to find that it was always gloomy and foggy there. I had a small campsite and enjoyed the solitude for training. The jog down the hill at night to catch the bus for work was always wrought with adventure of some kind.

Although I have not been in as much touch as I should, I read your blog as often as I could... and I try to live better because of it.

I eventually landed a job helping fight wild fires here on the west coast ( through a convaluted process of luck and deception) and am really learning alot.

It is rewarding work. I go from house to house putting warning labels on the door knobs of houses that have been evacuated. All my underwear smells like smoke and the cool thing is that there are no crowds at the laundry mats in the burn areas so I could wash them fast if I wanted.

On my days off I practice and I saw a UFC for the first time on TV at the church. I think it was alright. How does one become a UFC figter. I think I would like that.

Your humble wayward student,

Gene
