The Many Faces of Jack Bauer

Don't try to get by any serious Security with this ID...
Hopefully no one will notice my hangover if I hide behind these sunglasses...
You can be honest with me... Does the shiny finish on my pistol clash with my steel gray shirt?
Nice pants. But you're no Jack Bauer. Did I mention those are nice pants?
Hello, Hertz? Is it too late to get the extra catastrophic insurance?
Don't piss me off! I'm already stuck with this crappy Beretta!
Just wait to you see what we do on a second date.
Jack Bauer, Action Figure
Jack Bauer, Man of Fashion
I see you.
What are you looking at?

Not bad for one of "The Lost Boys".

No. Not "Lost," but "24."

Get your genre TV shows right!

or one of the young guns. wow, now how about that for a pop culture hero for the 21st century. a guy who is part vampire, part cowboy gun slinger/romantic, and part federal agent who never runs out of bullets and is impervious to critics. no.... wait. blade already did that. sorry.

Look... I have no idea how old Jack Bauer's gun is. But he does keep changing sidearms throughout the course of a day, so I guess they are all "young guns."

But that has no bearing on the show. I don't know why you people keep changing the subject.

"The Lost Boys" is a 1987 teenage vampire movie set in LA Herr Sutherland was the lead vampire.

jrf said...

NO.
Donald Sutherland was NOT the lead vampire, but the Vampire Slayer's Watcher in the original "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie that starred the delectable Kristy Swanson (who can be seen making a fool of herself on "Skating with Celebraties"). Rutger Hauer played the lead vampire and he killed Donald Sutherland.

Honestly, you people need to keep these things straight...

Based on the random order of images, I don't think you have ever watched the greatest television show in history

Oh, but I did watch all 7 seasons of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Joss Whedon is a genius, and he and his writers did a brilliant job of taking us through the evolution of a hero and her circle of friends as they went from naive youths to mature veterans. Yes, I cried when it was over. Cried. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Those charcters were like friends to me. BEST show on TV. Except maybe for "The Sopranos."

Special shout out to Star Trek - TOS, before I get hate mail from James T. Kirk or Shinobi.Wind.

And I have watched "24." My random order of images has nothing to do with that.

Buffy lives.

Come sweet slumber.... and shroud me in thy purple cloak. Buffy is hot. But not as hot as martha ray in h.r. puffenstuff.

and i think that the tick and the crimson chin are the same guy. spoon!!!!!

But, have you watched all of the Original Batman Series?

Anonymous said...

Perhaps jrf would join me in the Cone of Silence to discuss his television education

I would like jrf to come to my office so I can tell him how WW II was realy won!

jrf said...

Hoooooooooooooooooo-gaaaaaaaaannnnn!!!

No thanks, I'm scared at the adult goings-on that might be happening in your office, Colonel.

Sorry. These are all classic television, but show a certain immaturity of mind. They are more evidence of the vast wasteland than of art. Buffy was art, as evidenced by the academic seminar and conferences dissecting Buffy's literary meanings. Of course, academia also believes in global warming, but I had to provide some evidence.

Buffy who?

Honest, Keifer was the lead vampire in "Th Lost Boys".

jrf said...

I thought the Mom's boyfriend was actually the lead vampire in "The Lost Boys" and Kiefer was just the most vicious of his crew.

DUH!

I'm a freakin' child of the 80's. "The Lost Boys" was the last recorded time the Two Coreys made anything worthwhile!

This whole string was a gag. If you can't keep up with the irreverance, stay out of the way!

jeez.

And really, "Buffy who?" Please.

;-)

And who are the "Two Coreys"?

jrf said...

If you don't know who the Two Coreys are, then you can't be a Lost Boys fan.

Anonymous said...

Michael Jackson broke up the two coreys. Not only does he look like Yoko...... he acts like her.

Anonymous said...

Did he break them up or break them in?

Matt said...

Sorry. I think '24' is one of the worst tv shows in history.

jrf said...

I have a secret confession, Matt.

I don't watch the show.

It just made for some good blogging.
